I wasn’t sure what to do with this picture. It’s really 3 pictures: 1. bottom left, The pied piper’s enchanting flute; 2. above it, The spellbound rat population of Hamelin; and 3. down the right side, A small boy tapping on the piper’s arm with his walking stick to get his attention. Well, you can’t see the little boy.
I am amazed how many forget the ending of the story of the Pied Piper. The lame boy couldn’t go along with the others. You’d think the villagers who no longer heard the laughter of children would want to shower attention onto the lad who returned from the mountain alone. Black lives matter, but let’s not forget unborn infants and young lives struggling with disabilities like that lame boy. Don’t you think he matters & should’ve been drawn into the picture?
