ROBERTA THE JELLYFISH

Phil Vischercreator of Veggie Tales, once described at jellyfish thus: "A brainless, spineless bag of goo". An insignificant jellyfish floating on the water? Many Christians would rather be a salmon slicing through the ocean waters, impressing the inhabitants of the seas with its prowess, intellect, and even a bit of charisma. You never hear of a jellyfish that makes a name for itself...it fills up with stuff but can be squished easily. Hm; not a pleasant thing to be.

But wait; I see at least ONE needful benefit of the jellyfish. Baby fish actually seek protection in its tentacles!

* Roberta and Baby Fish - Baby slender yellow kingfish are pictured here in their favorite neighborhood day care center (apparently, predator fish will not disturb the jellyfish's extremely poisonous tentacles, but the little ones seem unaffected) where, apparently, they'll swim until they're big enough to fend for themselves. There are YouTube photographs documenting this.

The jellyfish's name? Well, what do you think she'll be called for short? And that's what jellyfish do best on the waves, so it seemed to be a fitting name.
