AMOS (the mosquito)

Ouch! I'm sitting in my room, not even outside, and I get bit by a mosquito! I saw the critter too. No wonder my right arm’s itching. I looked, and there's a white monument forming on my skin...okay, mound, not monument.

Summer is coming...I like insects, but those irritating critters that suck your blood without permission or pay...I don't think I'll ever be fond of them! Maybe I'll have my mind changed on the other side of the veil, but...

*Hit 'dem bed bugs with a shoe, and their cousin muskeetoez--hit them too!

*This is in reference to a bedtime rhyme:

“Good night, sleep tight; and

don’t let the bedbugs bite;

But if they do, hit ‘em with a shoe,

Until they’re black and blue!”

Later:

  Beth Kanda said she got back from a trip to Africa and found herself being grateful for the mosquitos in Japan. You just itch when they sting you here; you don’t fall over with Malaria or some life-threatening disease that those foreign insects carry. Wow; hadn’t thought of that. Then…thank you God (!!!)
