Actually, that’s the end of the story, but my sister asked:How does Daniel Train end?
Well, I had written a postscript for the Daniel Train story but thought readers might think it was "corny" so scrapped it. For you Jannie, here it is: Daniel goes to med school with Jonathon's financial support while Ascana, discussing it with Jonathan, decides to run a health center at Daniel's flat while he is gone--she is a doctor and can already do so. Daniel earns his medical degree but doesn't let it go to his head--which is actually more work than the studies themselves--and returns to the city. Do they get married? I can't imagine how they wouldn't. In today's pragmatic society, people say "just live together and do what you both love, don't get all tangled up with marital problems and ruin it all!" But I don't think this writer needs to envision it ending that way. God loves right and frowns on wrong; He doesn't give worth to things just by their effectiveness or altruistic value.
(You know: “If you’re a competent president, it doesn’t matter if you’re immoral.”)
